It’s been a rainy past couple of days here in Chicago and it has water on my mind. Most of the time these thoughts are about what strategies Isla Palenque can use to consume water in a sustainable way while not destroying the habitat or waterways, but lately I’ve focused a lot of my attention on what I can do personally, here at home. I’m sure almost everyone is aware that there is a looming global water crisis and that there are places where access to clean water is major problem, but sometimes it’s hard to think about the little things we can do as individuals. I posted awhile back about the simple method of placing a one gallon milk jug in your toilet basin to save a gallon of water per flush, but what other things can we all do? There is a great quick video made by Good Magazine, that points out some very simple decisions which saves an unbelievable amount of water. Have a look and be sure to look around Good Magazine’s website for more fun stuff.
