Adam Elliott, who took most of the photos we use on our website and elsewhere (and whom regular readers might remember from these previous posts), finally got around to writing his photo blog entry on the trip. As with most of his travel related posts, it provides a unique and interesting look into the area he’s traveling.
It’s been over six months, so there are a few inaccuracies in it (for example, our caretaker’s name is spelled “Menique”, he hasn’t been on the island nearly as long as Adam thought, and his previous employer was Catalina). However, he remembers my conversation with our civil engineers exactly; alas, value engineering has removed all of the gold planned for the construction of the marina. We are instead spending a small fraction of this amount to train the monkeys.
